The hospitality industry is facing huge changes. Whether you’re a foodie or a born hotelier, the industry is calling for creative problem-solvers to lead the hospitality industry into the future.

The industry has had to think on its feet and pivot to allow for restrictions, lockdowns and venue limitations. It has been a very challenging year across the board, but  how do we start to recover and bring this industry back to its former glory?

If you want to work (or already do!) in hospitality, you’re probably an energetic, hands-on learner who has either done a TAFE qualification, learnt on the job, or done a combination of both.

However, if you want to work your way up to leadership and management roles in hospitality, it’s important to balance those practical skills out with critical thinking skills so you can solve problems and innovate.

By doing a hospitality degree such as our Bachelor of Hospitality Management at Melbourne Polytechnic, you’ll practical and problem-solving skills so you can step into management roles with gusto.
