Be a part of a multi-billion-dollar industry

Turn your passion for wine into a fulfilling career. Melbourne Polytechnic offers practical, hands-on viticulture and winemaking courses taught at our own vineyard and winemaking facilities.

Melbourne Polytechnic boasts world-class facilities, including a fully operational award-winning 100-tonne winery and over 40 hectares of vineyards located in Ararat, the Yarra Valley and our Northern Lodge Training Centre at Eden Park

Our programs are designed and taught by industry experts and equip you with the knowledge to work in various roles in the wine industry including as a vineyard or winery manager, laboratory technician, wine retailer or wine exporter.

As a student, you’ll harvest different varieties of grape, then make and test wine which will go on to be served in real restaurants.

The faculty members at Melbourne Polytechnic were not just educators; they were mentors who understood the demands of balancing studies with real-world experiences. Their support was instrumental as I pursued part-time jobs in cellar doors and vineyards.
