Dr Bridget Naughton is the Acting Head of Program for the Bachelor of Veterinary Nursing and Associate Degree of Veterinary Nursing.
Dr. Bridget Naughton is a dedicated educator and veterinary professional with a passion for supporting the next generation of veterinary nurses. Currently serving as the Head of Program for the Bachelor of Veterinary Nursing at Melbourne Polytechnic, Dr. Naughton brings a wealth of practical experience and academic expertise to her role. She has over 17 years’ experience as a clinical veterinarian and over 9 years of teaching experience.

Dr. Naughton has a Master of Science in Veterinary Education from the University of London. Her research interests lie in areas such as reflection and professional identity formation, with projects focusing on the experiences of veterinary nurses during clinical placements. Through her work, she emphasizes the significance of work-integrated learning in shaping the identity and competencies of veterinary nursing professionals.

Important Note: The Associate Degree of Veterinary Nursing will not be taking new enrolments for 2023. All new intakes for 2022 will be into the Bachelor of Veterinary Nursing (a Latrobe University qualification delivered by Melbourne Polytechnic).
