Mohammad Anwar-Us-Saadat

Dr. Saadat is a Lecturer of the Bachelor of Engineering Technology (Civil) program. He has 10 years of teaching, research and industry experiences in the field of Civil Engineering.

Dr. Saadat has hands-on experience in face to face, blended and online teaching using state-of-the-art technology for effective curriculum delivery. His teaching approach is to create an active learning environment where students are engaged with materials and actively participate in the process of learning.

Alongside teaching, Dr. Saadat is actively involved in research and has worked on multiple industry funded research projects. He has wide research experiences in the field of structural engineering. Saadat’s research focuses on developing next generations concrete by utilising recycled aggregates. Other research areas include design of cold-formed structures and innovative use of engineered wood products. Dr. Saadat has published numerous top quality journal articles and presented in international conferences.

Dr Saadat received his PhD in Civil Engineering from The University of New South Wales (UNSW Canberra), Australia. Prior to that he completed his undergraduate studies in civil engineering from Bangladesh University of Engineering and Technology (BUET).
