Robyn Doreian

Robyn Doreian is the former editor of British rock/metal magazines Kerrang! and Metal Hammer.

With 30 years’ magazine journalism experience, her interviews have seen her chat with Kurt Cobain about getting an autograph stamp made; tour Stateside with Metallica; question Keith Richards about the practicality of owning 3000 guitars, and ask Patti Smith for advice about grief. As the first female editor of Kerrang!, the UK/world’s biggest rock weekly, and also the first female editor of British monthly, Metal Hammer, she remains a pioneer in her field.

Robyn brings significant experience and knowledge to the classroom. She aims to imbue students with the ecstasy of writing about music.
