Tony Dupé

Tony Dupé is an Australian musician, composer, music producer and academic.

His musical path moved through being a s songwriter in a band releasing several albums on
independent and major labels to music producer of more than a hundred albums for Australian
and international artists. His early solo albums were released by boutique Australian label
Preservation and he currently releases with U.S. label Lost Tribe Sound. He has also
composed, recorded and mixed for TV series and feature films.

Initially Tony was self taught but he began formal training when he moved to Berlin in 2009 to
study cello and returned to Australia after several years to complete a Masters of Improvisation
on the instrument. Following this he completed a Bachelor of Music degree with First class
Honours at Monash University and is now completing a PhD at University of Queensland. 
He is in the final stages of writing a creative manual for self production for songwriters and in the last
few years has presented this research at conferences in Boston, Stockholm and Oslo.

Tony is invested in artistic and positive pedagogical approaches to music education.
