Scholarship Overview

A Tertiary Scholarship Program that supports Hume residents to undertake tertiary education. Proudly supported by the Hume City Council- Hume Multiversity program.

Audience

Students enrolling in a Melbourne Polytechnic course in 2022 or 2023.

Scholarship Format / Structure

Recipients will receive a payment of $1,500 upon meeting the criteria outlined above and commencement of classes. A second payment of $1,000 will be made after a 3-month review or upon completion of the course (whichever occurs first).
Funding will be paid in the form of personal cheque/s to be utilised by the recipient at their discretion to support their studies e.g. course or material fees, uniforms, equipment, technology etc.

Eligibility

Students enrolling in a Melbourne Polytechnic course in 2022 or 2023, and:

  • Hold a Certificate level III or below, or no tertiary qualification, or are articulating into a higher level qualification eg. Cert IV to Diploma (some exemptions apply);
  • Australian citizen, Australian Permanent Resident, NZ citizen, holder of a Permanent Humanitarian Visa or holder of a Temporary Protection Visa;
  • Be accepted into a course of study with a Multiversity partner. Part-Time study of at least 0.5 study load will be eligible;
  • Applicants must currently reside in the Hume Local Government Area and provide proof of residence. Covering the following post-codes:

  1. Finalise Melbourne Polytechnic course enrolment.
  2. Complete and return the scholarship application form to scholarships@melbournepolytechnic.edu.au and advise your enrolling officer.

Please note: scholarship eligibility can be confirmed via application prior to finalising enrolment though funding will not be paid until enrolment is complete.

I didn't know that they offered scholarships in the food environment, I wouldn't have considered it. They're offering scholarships and why don't you apply for it and see how it goes.
