At Melbourne Polytechnic, we offer multiple pathways to help you succeed:

  • VCE Vocational Major (VCE VM)
    • A hands-on alternative to traditional VCE, the VCE VM lets you develop skills for employment, apprenticeships, and further education.
    • Learn through real-world projects in Literacy, Numeracy, Work-Related Skills, and Personal Development Skills.
  • School-Based Apprenticeships and Traineeships (SBATs)
    • Combine paid part-time employment, nationally recognised training, and secondary school studies.
    • Available for students who are over 15 years old, enrolled in Years 10, 11 or 12 and who are Australian citizens or permanent residents.
    • Start earning, gain practical skills, and get a head start in your chosen trade or profession.
  • VET Delivered to Secondary Students (VDSS)
    • Access Melbourne Polytechnic’s industry-aligned VET courses while completing your senior secondary studies.
    • Available for students who are studying the Victorian Certificate of Education (VCE), including the VCE Vocational Major.
    • Graduate with both your Year 12 qualification and real-world vocational training.
