The Koorie Services Centre is a place at Melbourne Polytechnic where Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Peoples can engage with their education and be supported and encouraged throughout their studies.

The Koorie Services Centre encourages and supports Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander students by providing discounted fees, course advice, cultural support and information. We also run cross-cultural training, provide advice on cultural matters and can act as a delegate for staff, students and Aboriginal community organisations.

The Koorie Services Centre has provided support services for over 30 years and will continue to do so in the future. Please get in touch for more information on how we can work together.
Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples studying a course that is eligible for government funding receive a discount on the tuition fee regardless of whether you hold a health care card or not. Melbourne Polytechnic will also waive the student amenities fee for your course.
You may also be eligible for additional financial assistance through the Aboriginal Study Allowance (Abstudy). Discounts and waived amenities fee will be applied automatically when you are processing your enrolment. You don’t need to apply at the Koorie Services Centre for discounts, but if you have any questions, please ask us.
