The eligibility for a refund depends on the apprentice, trainee or students’ level of study, the reason for refund, and the date they withdraw from a unit or course.
A full refund of all payments will be made for any course cancelled by Melbourne Polytechnic providing the employer or third party completes details on the Refunds Application Form page.
Employers or third parties will be entitled to a refund, less $50.00 Administration Fee, where an employer or third party has paid the Fees on behalf of an apprentice, trainee or student, and subsequently the apprentice, trainee or students is no longer employed or engaging in third party services, a refund may only be granted if the employer or third party:
If at any stage you entered in to a Tuition Payment Plan (TPP) on behalf of the apprentice, trainee or student, the employer or third party will remain liable for the TPP if the apprentice, trainee or students is no longer employed or engaging in third party services AFTER the refund period has passed in line with our Refund Policy (link)
Following an approved refund to the employer or third party, the apprentice, trainee or student will become liable for any outstanding fees.
Refunds will not be granted after twenty-eight (28) days, except in special circumstances.

For Diploma level and above courses, applicants are to complete a Remission of Debt application form.
