You may meet the admissions criteria for higher education at Melbourne Polytechnic if you are a recent secondary education student whose admission is primarily based on the completion of Year 12 within the past two years.
But you may also be included if you have completed your senior secondary studies with a TAFE or other VET provider within the past two years - including if you undertook this education interstate or overseas.
If you completed Year 12 in Victoria within the last two years and have an ATAR, you may apply for entry to Melbourne Polytechnic based on your ATAR alone. This includes applicants with ATAR-related adjustments or an equivalent International Baccalaureate Diploma score.
Applicants still need to meet the minimum ATAR for the course they are applying for and demonstrate English language proficiency. Some Melbourne Polytechnic courses also require additional criteria to be met as well as ATAR.
If you have completed Year 12 within the last two years at an interstate high school, you must have completed an Australian Year 12 Certificate with an ATAR at least equivalent to the minimum ATAR of the course you are applying for, as well as meet other admission criteria.
If you don’t have a high enough ATAR for the course you are applying for, there may be other admission options you can consider.
