A diploma is a higher qualification than a certificate and it is a pathway to an advanced diploma or a bachelor’s degree. To earn a diploma, you will complete a course of theoretical and skills-based learning.
As a diploma graduate, you will have the knowledge and skills required for skilled or paraprofessional work in your area of study. If you go on to complete an Advanced Diploma you will acquire broader knowledge and skills for highly-skilled work or further learning.
Diplomas usually take one year of full-time study, while advanced diplomas take from 18 months to two years of full-time study.
